Frequently Asked Questions Q: What types of products
does Global Inspirations, LLC have to offer?
A: Toys, musical instruments, figurines, accessories, and more. All are
handcrafted from stone, wood, metal, cloth and paper. Examples of the
items we carry include but not limited to: baskets, pottery, jewelry,
shawls, wall hangings, drums, rattles, bags, puppets, cards, and much,
much more.
Q: Where do the items come from?
A: Everything Global Inspirations, LLC has to offer comes from a
variety of countries around the world. Some of the countries whose
products we carry include but not limited to: Ghana, Kenya, El Salvador,
Guatemala, Mexico. Haiti, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Thailand, Nepal and
Vietnam. Whenever possible we work with various Faith Based
Organizations or NGO"s who assist the poor in these countries through
"Income Generating Projects." Other times we purchase our products from
Fair Trade wholesalers who have excellent reputations for helping people
in developing countries.
Q: Who makes the crafts?
A: The crafts we purchase either through Fair Trade or NGO's (Non
Governmental Organizations) like the Faith Based groups who administer
co ops or Income Generating Projects are responsible for the making of
the crafts. The co ops or IGP's assist people who are unemployed or
underemployed, handicapped, widowed, or orphaned. Sometimes, as in the
case of the "Karen" dolls, the crafts are made in refugee camps, since
refugees are not allowed to hold jobs in the host country.
Q: If what I want is not in your inventory, can I still get them?
A: We will make every possible effort to get what you order. If for some
reason it is not possible, we will let you know and offer you a
substitute, credit towards your next purchase or return your money. Your
choice.
Q: What is an "income generating project?"
A: A program established and aided, usually by a religious organization
such as the Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, and Baptist faiths, as well
as others. Sometimes a socially responsible group will fund the project
and assist the workers in training and in design work of products for
export. The administrators who fund the project and oversee it, also
ensure that fair wages are paid, and that healthy and safe working
conditions exist for all workers.
Q: What if I receive something that is broken or missing a piece?
A: Just let us know within a couple of days of receiving your item(s)
and we will gladly replace, substitute, give you credit for your next
order or return your money at your request. Simply return the unwanted
item in its original packaging if possible with the return slip
enclosed. Once we receive the article, we will compensate you as you
request AND reimburse you for the cost of the returned item.
Q: How long will it take to receive my order?
A: If the item(s) you request are in stock, a few days is all that it
should take. If we have to wait for the item you requested to become
available (most items come from overseas) it may take 3 or 4 weeks for
us to receive it. If it takes longer than 30 days, we will let you know
and you can decide if you want to wait or choose something else. You
always have the option of receiving your money back.
